September & October Class Timetable

September and October Fitness Classes

Classes available include Aerobics, Boxercise, HIIT vs Bootcamp, INSANITY, Kettlercise, PiYO and Zumba and are listed below in alphabetical order. 

Please ensure you arrive on time for the class you are attending. The warm up ensures you have safely prepared yourself for exercise and without this you could be putting yourself at risk of injury or medical complications. If you are more than 5 minutes late you may be refused the right to participate, without refund.


AEROBICS FOR BEGINNERS & 50+

As of Tuesday 19th September, there will be a new class time of 9am-9:45am.

Tuesdays 9:30am – 10:15am (start time changes to 9am as of 19th September) at Moordown Community Centre.
A great low impact class for beginners and over 50’s. The perfect way to help increase fitness, muscle tone and flexibility. Alternative exercises can be given including sitting or standing variations. Classes are £5 pay as you go or £40 for a 10 class pass (12 week expiry). No need to book. 

BOXERCISE
  • Boxercise is currently taking a break and I hope it will return again in 2018. Please email info@fitnessquest.co.uk to register your interest.
    This course is a fun and effective way to train the way boxers do to get into tip top condition! A general warm up followed by circuits uses all of your major muscle groups, working on your fitness, muscle strength, fat loss, stamina and coordination. We then move on to pad work; pairing up with a partner and learning punches and combo’s to throw together to maximise calorie burn and it’s also a great way to reduce stress!

    The body composition scales are available for use on the first and final weeks only.

    HIIT vs BOOTCAMP – The Ultimate Weekend Fat Buster!
    • The next course is expected to start in October 2017, if you would like to register your interest please email info@fitnessquest.co.uk and further details will be released nearer the time.
    • In the meantime, as of Wednesday 20th September the 7:35pm class will become HIIT, which will follow the same format as the Saturday morning class. Prices will be £5 per class or £25 for a continuous 6 week block. More updates coming soon.
    Since 2016 I have made some changes to the format of HIIT vs Bootcamp:

    HIIT: 10:30-11:15am – SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS OF FITNESS. I will be running HIIT as I did before, offering three levels of exercise one each for beginners, intermediate and advanced. Although suitable for all levels of fitness, I do ask you inform me of any injuries or medical conditions prior to booking.

    BOOTCAMP: 11:15am – 12pm – SUITABLE FOR GOOD/HIGH LEVELS OF FITNESS ONLY. I have decided that I needed to run a class with an extra challenge, for those of you who are willing! I used to run this class with plenty of modifications, however I feel this takes from the “Superhuman” status many of you wish to achieve. We’ll have a variety of weights, of which you can choose, but the exercises given will be the only ones on offer! Think workout of the day, each bootcamp session will be different and provide you with a fresh challenge. We’ll  have fun with sandbags, atlas balls, kettlebells, ropes and much more! Due to the smaller hall, I can only accept 10 bootcampers on this course. You will have to do HIIT before bootcamp as this will be your warm up. There are no BOOTCAMP ONLY options available. Any medical conditions or injuries must be disclosed prior to booking. £40 for six weeks HIIT vs Bootcamp.

    INSANITY
    • Every Wednesday 7:35pm-8:25pm (50 minutes) Epiphany Primary School, Shillingstone Drive, BH9 3PE. £5 per class. The last INSANITY class will be held on Wednesday 13th September 2017, don't worry though as of Wednesday 20th September HIIT will run in place of INSANITY. The HIIT formula is similar to INSANITY, in fact INSANITY is based on the principles of HIIT workouts. The new format will remain suitable for those who've enjoyed attending INSANITY due to the similar nature of the classes but also become more suitable for beginners due to the different intensities offered for each exercise e.g. standing burpees vs normal burpees vs crazy chest to floor with a tuck jump type burpee... The class will remain £5 pay as you go, although an option to book a continuous six week block for £25 will be available. Please email for more information.

    *   Kettlercise® covers a huge range of 37 kettlebell exercises ranging from basic moves to more advanced techniques, from high energy pulse raises to being able to place extra emphasis on target muscle groups like abs, glutes, arms and thighs and all with maximum effectiveness. It will not only destroy unwanted body fat but completely shape your body!

    PiYO

    PiYo is a group fitness class inspired by Pilates and Yoga. It's a full body workout designed to improve your strength and flexibility. Although inspired by Pilates and Yoga, forget everything you know about these techniques... PiYo is a whole new format in it's own right. I've never taught anything quite like it, you can certainly feel it challenging your muscles in ways you've never felt them work before! Putting together our PiYo poses, we are constantly flowing from one move to another, ensuring you don't stay still. This makes PiYo not only great for strength and flexibility but also calorie burn (there will be lots of sweat)!

    During a PiYo live class, we'll complete a series of tracks such as a warm up, heat building, lower body, full body fusion etc. All of these tracks are done to an upbeat soundtrack, so no whale music, as lovely as it is ;-) It's all low impact (with the option to add in a few jumps), and involves no weights, just your own body.

    A dance fitness fusion playing popular beats from all around the world. Dance, squat, punch, wiggle! First class FREE. Classes are £5 pay as you go or £40 for a 10 class pass 12 week expiry). No need to book.

    Course places must be booked in advance and your place can only be held once payment in full has been received. No booking is required for Aerobics, Zumba or Wednesday's HIIT.

      This course is a fun and effective way to train the way boxers do to get into tip top condition! A general warm up followed by circuits uses all of your major muscle groups, working on your fitness, muscle strength, fat loss, stamina and coordination. We then move on to pad work; pairing up with a partner and learning punches and combo’s to throw together to maximise calorie burn and it’s also a great way to reduce stress!

      The body composition scales are available for use on the first and final weeks only.

      PLEASE BRING A TOWEL AND WATER!! 

      INSANITY has the potential to be the hardest class you've ever tried! I never, ever want anyone coming to class and leaving saying it was easy... Why? Because regardless of how many reps you achieved, how high you jumped or how big your press ups were I want everyone pushing as hard as they can. 
      But don't let that put you off, I also pride myself on being able to accommodate all fitness levels, from new mum's to marathon runners, and I'll push them and get them to push themselves according to their abilities. Modifications for all exercises are available if you need to keep it at a lower level, making this do-able for beginners!

      If you haven't exercised for a while, chances are you'll find INSANITY tough, but by pacing yourself you'll be able to see improvements if you stick at it each week. All you really need is dedication and motivation to come to class each week, sweat buckets, push your comfort zone and leave having tried your hardest.

        June & July Class Timetable - Incredible Summer Package Deal

        June & July Fitness Classes

        Classes available include Aerobics, Boxercise, HIIT vs Bootcamp, INSANITY, Kettlercise, PiYO and Zumba and are listed below in alphabetical order. 

        SUMMER PACKAGE

        I've decided to run an incredible deal that will offer you not only flexibility over the summer holidays but also the opportunity to make massive progress with your fitness goals, and save you a whopping 50%!

        For just £157 you'll get access to both Monday and Thursday Kettlercise classes, Tuesdays Boxercise, Wednesdays PiYo as well as unlimited INSANITY and Zumba. There are a few conditions though, the most important being that you'll need to have either a) attended the course based classes before (Kettlercise, Boxercise & PiYo), or b) ensure you attend week one of the course. As these classes focus on technique, week one acts as an induction, with each week then progressing in difficulty, turning up half way through a course would not be permitted as you won't know the moves and it's unfair to the rest of the group.           INSANITY has the potential to be the hardest class you've ever tried! I never, ever want anyone coming to class and leaving saying it was easy... Why? Because regardless of how many reps you achieved, how high you jumped or how big your press ups were I want everyone pushing as hard as they can. 
          But don't let that put you off, I also pride myself on being able to accommodate all fitness levels, from new mum's to marathon runners, and I'll push them and get them to push themselves according to their abilities. Modifications for all exercises are available if you need to keep it at a lower level, making this do-able for beginners!

          If you haven't exercised for a while, chances are you'll find INSANITY tough, but by pacing yourself you'll be able to see improvements if you stick at it each week. All you really need is dedication and motivation to come to class each week, sweat buckets, push your comfort zone and leave having tried your hardest.

          PiYO

          PiYo is a group fitness class inspired by Pilates and Yoga. It's a full body workout designed to improve your strength and flexibility. Although inspired by Pilates and Yoga, forget everything you know about these techniques... PiYo is a whole new format in it's own right. I've never taught anything quite like it, you can certainly feel it challenging your muscles in ways you've never felt them work before! Putting together our PiYo poses, we are constantly flowing from one move to another, ensuring you don't stay still. This makes PiYo not only great for strength and flexibility but also calorie burn (there will be lots of sweat)!

          During a PiYo live class, we'll complete a series of tracks such as a warm up, heat building, lower body, full body fusion etc. All of these tracks are done to an upbeat soundtrack, so no whale music, as lovely as it is ;-) It's all low impact (with the option to add in a few jumps), and involves no weights, just your own body.

          ZUMBA

          Mondays 7:35pm - 8:25pm at Epiphany School (not held on Bank Holidays, no class on 28th August 2017)

          A dance fitness fusion playing popular beats from all around the world. Dance, squat, punch, wiggle! First class FREE. Classes are £5 pay as you go or £40 for a 10 class pass 12 week expiry). No need to book.

          BOOKING INFORMATION

          Course places must be booked in advance and your place can only be held once payment in full has been received. Booking is recommended for all INSANITY classes via www.bookwhen.com/fitnessquest and no booking is required for Aerobics, or Zumba.
